Edible Car Race

The idea of this competition was to build a car that would compete in a race and was entirely edible. The cars were launched down a ramp, and the total distance traveled times the % of the car that was eaten in 3 minutes divided by the number of team members was the formula used to score each entry in the contest.

Results varied greatly.  The cars went from 4 inches to 109.  They weighed between 3 oz. and 1 lb. 14 oz. and the creators ate between 0% and 100% of the car in the 3 minutes alloted.  All in all, it was a great event that would be fun to see again in 2005.  Thank you to the 18 teams who participated!

Every team has their own strategy, for instance:  Kelli Dindinger built the car, Kerie Buckley raced the car and Xan Dindinger-Hill was left to eat the car on her own.
